Daniel Powell

Daniel Powell has a diverse work experience. Daniel is currently working as a Founding Engineer at Plantiful since February 2023. Previously, they worked at Private Prep where they held multiple roles including Chief Technology Officer from April 2019 to February 2023, Senior Staff Software Engineer from July 2017 to April 2019, and Ruby on Rails Developer from December 2016 to July 2017. Prior to that, they served as a Developer Apprentice at Private Prep from July 2016 to December 2016, where they gained skills, managed the support desk, and wrote reports in SQL. Daniel also worked as a Web Designer at Third Principle from February 2015 to June 2016. Earlier in their career, they held roles as Chair of the USG Sustainability Committee and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Denver from 2013 to 2014.

Daniel Powell's education history begins in 2010 when they enrolled at the University of Denver. Daniel studied Chemistry and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, which was accredited by the American Chemical Society. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General during the same period at the same institution.

In 2012, Daniel briefly attended the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute to study Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture, Community Engagement, and Sustainable Development. The specific degree obtained during this time is unknown.

In 2015, they enrolled in Udacity to pursue a Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree. Daniel successfully completed the program in 2016. Later in the same year, Daniel obtained a certification in the Firehose Software Engineering Program from theFirehoseProject.

During their educational journey, Daniel also acquired certifications outside of their degree programs. In 2016, they obtained a Front-End Web Developer Nanodegree from Udacity and an Inbound Certification from HubSpot in February and March respectively.
