Dr. Gerardo Ceballos (UNAM): "This is no longer a warning about the future — it is a decision about whether you will still have one. #Plantist exists because this is the last window in which human action can still change the outcome."

You are alive at the moment the future of human civilization and the living world is being decided.

The outcome is determined by what people do, now, with what we know.

Life on Earth is failing. The natural systems that make human life possible are collapsing due to the vast amount of land required to feed the animals billions of people eat—approximately the size of Africa and India combined.

This is land that can, and must, be returned to nature—not within decades, but now, without delay.

Understand the situation.
Never eat animals.
Make that change visible to others.

To one person. To a professional community. To the public.

Each person who does so makes it easier for others to follow. Each institution that does so expands what is possible for every other institution.

Large-scale social transitions do not begin with majority agreement. They begin when visible behavior crosses a threshold where it becomes socially expected rather than exceptional.

That process is already underway.

Everything that has ever mattered depends on there being a future in which it can endure.

The future is still here.

What we do now determines whether it will.

We choose to keep it.
