Rob McKay is currently serving as the Vice President of Infrastructure and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) at Planview Utility Services Limited since August 2019. Prior to this role, Rob held various positions at Bell for almost 18 years, including Associate Director roles in the Ontario Greenfield Program, Contract Administration Group, Associate Work Group, Network Implementation, and as an Operational Performance Manager. Rob graduated from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne in 1999 with a Hon BCom degree in Sports Administration.

Planview Utility Services provides Utility and Telecom Engineering, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Survey and Inspections, Mobile LiDAR and GIS Services. With an integrated approach to our service offering, we provide Utilities, Telecoms and Municipalities with solutions throughout their infrastructure projects. This means that our customers enjoy a full suite of services without having to engage another partner. We provide Engineering Services to Telecommunication and Electric Utilities including pole line designs, FTTX, attachment permitting, structural analysis and loading calculations, municipal and specialty permits, manhole and duct bank design. Our Engineering team is familiar with the individual standards of most utilities and can provide designs to meet these. Our SUE teams manage the utility relocation needs for some of the most densely populated regions in North America. By combining field services with unmatched utility experience and judgment, we deliver comprehensive SUE data analysis and utility conflict management alongside ongoing support of utility relocations throughout our customers’ projects. Utility locates coordination, daylighting (hydro-vac), surveying and data processing into CAD or GIS reports. We never miss an opportunity to collect data. Once an asset is exposed we collect and deliver the data back to you in GIS format. This ensures a commitment to continual data improvement and reduces risk and truck rolls all while focusing on damage prevention, employee and public safety. We provide GIS Services to infrastructure owners to support asset management, damage prevention, ongoing operations and business continuity. Our GIS teams work closely with the Engineering and SUE groups to ensure our clients have every opportunity to maximize their GIS investments by employing sound process to maintain data in an accurate, timely and controlled method.
