Maik Hassel

Maik Hassel has a strong background in product management and software development. Maik is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Management & Value Stream Lead at Planview, Inc. Since joining Planview in 2022, they have been responsible for overseeing product management and leading value stream activities.

Prior to joining Planview, Maik worked at Tasktop from 2019 to 2022. During their time there, they held various roles, including Product Value Stream Lead and Sr. Product Manager. In these positions, they played a key role in driving product value, managing product portfolios, and ensuring successful product delivery.

Before Tasktop, Maik served as a Product Manager at iQmetrix from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for planning and executing product strategies.

From 2010 to 2018, Maik worked at Incognito Software Systems as a Product Manager. Their responsibilities included managing product lifecycles and developing strategies to meet customer needs.

Prior to that, Maik was the Owner of Simply Efficient Inc. from 2004 to 2013. At Simply Efficient, they specialized in custom software development, consulting, and training for both local SMBs and multinational companies.

Earlier in their career, Maik gained experience in the field of bioinformatics as a Lead Developer at Canada's Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre from 2003 to 2004. Maik was responsible for developing a Java/Webservices based genomic data visualization platform.

Before that, Maik worked as a Project Manager and Lead Software Developer at MZ Robotics Laboratory from 2001 to 2002. Maik managed the software development department and worked on high-tech custom robotics solutions.

From 1999 to 2001, Maik was a Project Manager and Lead Software Developer at Deutsche Telekom Mobilnet GmbH. Maik was responsible for the maintenance, quality assurance, and extension of the SERPA project.

At the start of their career, Maik worked as a Researcher at the German National Research Centre for Information Technology from 1997 to 1999. Maik contributed to the development of an autonomous mobile robot-based transportation system.

Maik Hassel holds a Master of Computer Science (German "Diplom-Informatiker") with honours from The University of Bonn.
