James Fraser

James Fraser has a diverse work experience in the legal and tax industry. James is currently a Co-Founder at Planworth since June 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Lawyer at Fraser Tax Law from January 2014, where they specialized in tax law. James also gained valuable experience as a Tax Lawyer at Miller Thomson LLP from August 2006 to December 2013.

James Fraser completed their BA Honours degree in Philosophy & Economics at Huron University from 1999 to 2003. James then went on to pursue a JD (Juris Doctor) degree in Law at the University of Toronto from 2003 to 2006. In 2005, James also studied Law at the University of Amsterdam, although the exact end year is unknown. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they attended the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) to complete the In-Depth Tax Course Parts I & II, focusing on Canadian Tax Law. Lastly, in 2012, James obtained further education at the Canadian Bar Association (CBA), specializing in Tax Law for Lawyers in the field of Canadian Law/Legal Studies/Jurisprudence.
