Chris Tumpach is an experienced entrepreneur and engineer, currently serving as the Founder, President, and CEO of Rainforest Automation, Inc., since March 2009, where Rainforest focuses on energy market solutions. Tumpach co-founded the company to innovate in the smart home industry before it became mainstream. In addition to leading Rainforest, Tumpach is a member of the Advisory Board at Plasmatic Technologies Inc., which assists home insurance companies in reducing claims through data-driven customer engagement. Previous experience includes significant roles in product design and development at PMC-Sierra, Mindspeed Technologies, Alcatel, Newbridge Networks, and Raytheon, spanning diverse areas including communications infrastructure and automated air traffic systems. Tumpach holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
