Andrey Shur

Andrey Shur is an experienced professional in the field of bioengineering and automation, currently serving as the Automation Engineering Lead at Plasmidsaurus since February 2024. Prior to this role, Andrey worked as a Scientific Developer II at Emerald Cloud Lab and held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Primordium Labs, where significant contributions included developing AWS cloud-based sequencing analysis pipelines and scalable sample preparation protocols for Nanopore sequencing. Andrey's academic background includes earning a PhD in Bioengineering from Caltech, where research focused on constructing a genetic memory event recording circuit in E. coli. Additional experience includes positions at UCLA as a Laboratory Assistant II and at Harvey Mudd College as Head Shop Proctor. Andrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Harvey Mudd College.
