James Stapleton is the co-founder and CTO at Plasmidsaurus, where they focus on next-generation DNA sequencing technology and synthetic biology. They previously worked as a scientist at SNPsaurus from 2018 to 2023 and held several academic positions, including research assistant professor at the University of Oregon and a postdoctoral researcher at multiple institutions. James earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley, with additional experience as an Agroforestry Extension Volunteer in the Peace Corps.
