Co-Founder and CEO at Plastic Back

Tal Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to 2018. Tal started their career as a Team Officer and Paratrooper in the Israel Defense Forces from 2005 to 2008. After that, they worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Yahalom 3000, where they managed clients from the US and UK from 2010 to 2013.

In 2014, Tal became a Marine Biologist and Scuba Diving Team Leader at Lev-Yam Marine Agriculture, where they led a team of 5 divers and conducted routine scuba work and field surveys.

In 2015, they worked as a Greentech Project Lead for Dynamo, a green tech startup focused on providing environmentally friendly products to bike sharing facilities.

From 2016 to 2018, Tal served as a Business Development Manager at Synvertec, an innovative startup in the field of grid stabilization, and at Horizon GreenTech Ventures, where they worked with 10 portfolio companies in renewable energies and smart networks.

Finally, in 2018, Tal became a Co-Founder and CEO of Plastic Back, a clean tech plastic recycling startup that converts plastic waste to crude oil and other valuable chemicals. In this role, they scouted the technology, negotiated an IP ownership deal with the university's technology transfer unit, and developed the company's product and market strategy.

Tal Cohen pursued their education at Tel Aviv University from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Management of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they attended Ruppin Academic Center from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Marine Biology. Additionally, Tal holds several certifications, including being a Scuba Master Diver from SSI Scuba Schools International.
