Bert Claessens

Bert Claessens is an experienced professional in product development and engineering, currently serving as the Component Design & Development Manager at Plastiflex since April 2020. Prior roles include Product Development Engineer at ROOF TILE GROUP, where contributions were made to new product development and the BIPV Rooftile project, and Development & Innovation Manager for Injection Moulded Products at DS Smith's Plastics Division. Throughout a career spanning several companies, Bert has held various positions, including Senior Product Development Engineer and Staff Engineer at Pentair Aquatic Systems EMEA, focusing on technical equipment for swimming pools, and managing production technology development at Helvoet Pharma. Additionally, experience includes project engineering for automotive components at Plascobel and design engineering for rally cars at Mazda Rally Team Europe. Bert holds a postgraduate master's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Domus Academy and a master's in Industrial Design from NHIBS, now Universiteit Antwerpen.
