Platform for Labour Action (PLA) is a civil society and human rights organization based in Uganda, dedicated to advocating for and providing legal aid to vulnerable and marginalized workers, particularly those in the informal sector. Our work focuses on empowering women, youth, and children through rights-based approaches and community engagement.

We have expanded our reach globally through the establishment of PLA International, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation based in Indiana, USA. PLA International complements our mission by focusing on research-driven project design, international collaboration, and capacity building. Through this partnership, we aim to foster equitable and sustainable development, leveraging global insights to strengthen local impact.

Together, PLA Uganda and PLA International work to advance labor rights and social justice across borders.
