Dave Stienessen

Dave Stienessen is a distinguished engineer with extensive leadership in cloud development and architecture, focusing on Infrastructure as Code and distributed systems. They have held pivotal roles at multiple organizations, including Trimble Transportation, where they led the modernization of solutions to Azure-based cloud microservice architecture, significantly enhancing system capacity for SaaS users. With a background as a National Lead Solutions Architect at Magenic and a Director at XATA Corporation, Dave has a strong foundation in database design and implementation, REST API development, and CI/CD processes. Additionally, they served as a volunteer firefighter for both the Osseo and Watertown Fire Departments between 1999 and 2016. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
