Platform Founder-in-Residence at Platform Venture Studio

Derek Snook has a diverse work experience. In 2009, they founded In Every Story, a social enterprise that prioritizes employee investment and achieved social impact by providing job placement and financial stability to its employees. Derek served as the President and managed a team of 6 internal staff and approximately 170 field employees. Derek'swork at In Every Story inspired a Stanford Business Professor to incorporate it into their curriculum. From 2013 to 2019, they also worked as a Huffington Post blogger. In 2017, they became a book author, writing "The Definition of Success: What Living Homeless Can Teach You" and "Driving w/ Strangers" about their experiences living homeless and driving through multiple countries. In 2021, they participated in the On Deck Founder Fellowship, where they connected with other founders. In 2022, they founded CoLife, Inc., a platform that facilitates safe and easy room rentals, and also became a Platform Founder-in-Residence at Platform Venture Studio.

Derek Snook earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Furman University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they attended Pinewood Preparatory School, but no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period.
