Aleksandr Rain

Aleksandr Rain has an extensive work experience in the field of IT operations and systems administration. Aleksandr served as the Director of Operations at Platform28, where they were responsible for ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the cloud services. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Systems Administrator/DevOp at SmartAlek Solutions, where they implemented configuration management and system deployment using SaltStack and developed network monitoring systems. Aleksandr also collaborated with the development team to integrate metrics reporting and monitoring functionality into their code. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Principle Systems Engineer at UPS via SmartAlek Solutions, where they designed and managed a VMware environment using Dell PowerEdge servers and NetApp NAS units.

Aleksandr Rain completed their Bachelor's of Science in Information Systems from Kennesaw State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications including SSCE from SaltStack in April 2016, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in May 2017, and CCENT from Cisco in January 2013.
