Ron Regan

Ron Regan has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering, development, and leadership roles. Ron started their career at InterSystems, where they worked as a Support Programmer and Quality Assurance Co-op. Ron then joined Concentra, where they served as a Programmer/Analyst, DBA, and Webmaster. At Concentra, they installed, customized, and enhanced financial systems and developed various applications using Informix, Oracle, MS IIS, Exchange, Outlook, Lisp, TCL, and C.

After Concentra, Ron worked at Oracle as a Senior Data Warehousing Engineer, where they implemented mobile support for the SellingPoint sales force automation tool. Ron programmed using VB, PL/SQL, and Java and provided DBA support to the Engineering group.

Following Oracle, Ron joined SilverStream Software as a Web Application Developer (MIS), where they developed and maintained applications for SilverStream's website. Ron created a visitor registration system integrated with Onyx CRM and an event searching and online registration system.

Ron then worked at Q2 Technologies as a Tech Lead, where they collaborated with clients to gather requirements and design solutions. Ron managed a team of developers and developed an instant messaging module for J2EE application servers using servlets, JSPs, and EJBs.

After Q2 Technologies, Ron joined Harvard University Extension School as a Teaching Fellow, where they assisted students in their online learning and graded assignments and exams.

Following Harvard, Ron worked at PRX as a Contractor, where they developed the Public Radio Exchange website version 2 using Java, Struts, JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL.

Ron's most recent role was at Nellymoser, where they served as a Principal Software Engineer. Ron designed and developed the Nellymoser mobile platform, which involved content delivery, management, and integration with partner content and billing primarily for mobile. Ron also maintained a video and audio transcoder service and built custom products using the platform for various projects.

Currently, Ron is working at PlatformQ as a Principal Software Engineer.

Ron Reagan began their education in 1989 at Northeastern University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Ron completed their studies in 1992. Following this, from 2002 to 2009, Ron enrolled in the Harvard University Extension School, where they achieved an ALM in IT with a specialization in Software Engineering.
