PLAY! Berlin is a grassroots initiative working at the intersection of art, culture and social work. 

We design and deliver creative, care-based programs for children and families with refugee and migration experience — directly in social housing, shelters and community spaces where access to culture is often limited.

Founded in 2022 by five female artists, PLAY! Berlin has grown into a cross-cultural community of artists, educators and volunteers. Our work supports children’s wellbeing, strengthens social connection and helps families participate in cultural life while navigating displacement and resettlement.

Through festivals, long-term creative projects and community partnerships, we address inequalities in out-of-school cultural access and support children in not having to postpone their childhood due to forced migration.
