Alex Vila

Alex Vila is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing secure and scalable web applications. Currently at Play2Pay, Inc. since June 2021, Alex has focused on building API infrastructure using Django, Python, and AWS S3, while also working with third-party APIs and enhancing performance with Redis and Celery. Previously, as a Senior Software Engineer at DXC Technology, Alex led a project to unify Learning Management Systems through a Django program and developed microservices using the Falcon framework. Throughout roles at Tribridge and Intelladon, Alex played a key role in web application development for clients including PWC and Dunkin Donuts, expertly integrating APIs via SOAP calls. Alex's early experience as Lead Developer at TBO.com included creating interactive web applications and implementing AJAX and PHP functionalities. Alex holds a BA in Computer Science from the University of Tampa.
