Raúl Torres

Raúl Torres has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Raúl started in 2010 with a research internship at the Centro de Astrobiologia (CSIC-INTA). In 2011, they joined PLD Space as a Propulsion Engineer and also took on the role of CEO. At PLD Space, they are responsible for leading the development of suborbital and orbital launch vehicles, including the MIURA1 and MIURA5. Raúl also serves as the preliminary and system architecture responsible for the company.

Raúl Torres holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Biotechnology/Biomedicine from Universitat d'Alacant. Raúl completed this degree from 2005 to 2010. Following that, they pursued a degree in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Propulsion and Aerospace Vehicles from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) during the years 2010 to 2014.
