Pledgeball

Pledgeball is a research-proven charity that engages people around environmental sustainability. We work with stakeholders across the sports community, from fans including partner the FSA to clubs, from leagues to governing bodies. We are also organisers of Green Football Weekend. The development of technology on its own will not be sufficient to mitigate climate change; transformational societal change is necessary. A shift in mindset, awareness and essentially a shift in relationship with climate action is required. Ultimately, everyone cares about something that will be impacted by climate change and would like to preserve our planet. This desire, however, is not translated into action for a number of reasons: cognitive dissonance, as a result of the feeling of being overwhelmed and powerless in the face of climate change; practical barriers, making it more difficult to live sustainably; a feeling of being alone in one’s sustainable actions. As proven by academic research, Pledgeball addresses all of these barriers and provides a solution that could initiate and sustain this societal transformation. Pledgeball is open for adoption by anyone in and out of the sports community: individuals, fan groups, Supporters Associations, clubs, leagues, governing bodies, events organisers. Proudly supported by our lead partner RSK Group
