Lance Held

Lance Held is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in full stack design and development. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at ChromaCode, Inc. since June 2017, Lance focuses on the ChromaCode Cloud product utilizing technologies such as Node.js, React/Redux, AWS, and Python. Previously, from January 2009 to June 2017, Lance contributed to Abbott as Principal Software Engineer, developing system software for microbial identification instruments. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Software Engineering at Ibis Biosciences and Lead Software Engineer at Nanogen, where Lance specialized in software development for molecular biology research devices. Early career experience includes control systems engineering at Gensia Automedics, focusing on algorithm improvement and software tool development. Lance holds a Master's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
