Tom Wright has a diverse work experience, starting in 2009 as a Gap Tutor at Stowe School. Tom then served as a Sports Director at New College, UNSW in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a PASS Tutor at the University of New South Wales, School of Economics and later as a Corporate Banking Summer Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. In 2013, they returned to the University of New South Wales, School of Economics as an Econometrics and Statistics Tutor. In 2014, they joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Analyst in Corporate Banking. From 2015 onward, they served in various roles at Plenti, including Business Analyst, Head of Analytics, Head of Direct Consumer Finance, and currently as the Head of Growth and Partnerships.
Tom Wright attended Cowra High School from 2003 to 2008, where they earned a Higher School Certificate. After completing high school, they attended UNSW from 2010 to 2013. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics degree, with a focus on Finance and Econometrics.
