Thach “Tak” Nguyen is the founder and managing partner of Plenty Search. Thach has also worked as the Chief Talent Officer at SWORD Health and the Vice President of People at Care/of.

At SWORD Health, Tak scaled the company headcount by 350% during a period of 1200% revenue growth and valuation 7x’d. Thach also designed SLA targets company-wide by role and level, and achieved 97% annual goal attainment. Tak joined as the first member of North American executive team and fully built out 15+ leadership (Director+) team internally, eliminating 100% of executive search fees while increasing 12-month-in executive retention and quality of hire by 70%.

At Care/of, Tak lead recruiting, HR, and culture at an incredible wellness organization, scaling company from 90 to 300+ people and revenue growth by 500%, serving as a member of the executive team and reporting to CEO. Thach ensured strong employee engagement and culture during a period of hypergrowth, resulting in 90%, 92%, and 96% employee NPS score during tenure, a Glassdoor rating of 5.0/5.0, and <5% regrettable turnover annually. Tak also drove a culture of performance by increasing non-regrettable attrition by 300%+ YOY. Thach cut external recruiting fees by 96% while increasing the velocity of hiring, resulting in average time to hire decreasing by ~30% and increasing referrals as a source of hire by 45%. Tak built all core HR programs from scratch including but not limited to onboarding, performance management, leveling, compensation design and review, engagement surveys, internal mobility, employee recognition, employer branding, and recruiting programs.

Thach Nguyen obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Thach's focus was on cognitive science and computer programming.
