Casey Shawver is a dedicated professional in the field of agriculture with extensive experience in crop optimization and research. Currently serving as the Manager of Crop Optimization and previously as a Research Scientist for New Crops at Plenty® since October 2019, Casey focuses on exploring innovative crop opportunities within vertical controlled environment agricultural systems. Prior to Plenty®, Casey worked at Colorado State University as a Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to climate change resiliency in grazing systems and publishing several works. Additional experience includes positions as a Summer Research Assistant at Penn State University, a Research Assistant at DuPont Pioneer Hi-Bred, and serving as State President for the Pennsylvania FFA Association. Casey holds a Master of Science in Agronomy and Crop Science from Colorado State University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Agricultural Science and Agriculture from Penn State University and Penn State Altoona, respectively.
