May Newland is an experienced content designer and UX writer with a strong background in creating user-friendly interface content. Currently serving as a Senior Content Designer at Pleo since May 2022, May has previously held positions at Lokalise as a UX Writer and at Siteimprove, also as a UX Writer. Prior to these roles, May was the Communications Manager for Kite, an app for print-on-demand merchandise acquired by Canon in 2017. Early career experiences include serving as a Guest Experience Specialist at Sonder Inc. and working part-time as a Book Seller at The Epping Bookshop during university studies, where May earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds from 2011 to 2014.
