Gitte Holtsø

Gitte Holtsø specializes in EU competition law and procurement law.

Career began in the Ministry of Justice, where Gitte worked, among other things, for the prosecution and as a magistrate. She holds an LL.M. from the University of Cambridge, and in 2000 she obtained an English Solicitor from BPP Law School in London while working for Charles Russell Solicitors, London, in the firm's Corporate and Competitive Law Division.

Gitte has been involved in a number of prominent competition law cases in Denmark and the EU. regarding the Danish state's sale of shares in Ørsted to Goldman Sachs, ATP and PFA and EY's acquisition of KPMG's Danish activities. She has particular expertise in M&A-related competition law, including in the field of reviews of European and multi-national mergers.

Procurement law is another of Gitte's specialties, both at EU level and in Denmark. She assists contracting authorities, such as Sund & Bælt Holding in relation to the construction of the fixed link across the Fehmarnbelt. She also assists suppliers, especially suppliers in the pharmaceutical industry, where she has achieved positive results in several cases before the Board of Appeal for Procurement.

Gitte has been appointed as an expert member of the Board of Appeal for Tender and is a member of the Danish Advokaters expert panel on tendering law.
