Security Operations Center Analyst at Plex Systems

Chase Hulsey has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Security Operations Center Analyst at Plex Systems, Inc. since 2021. Prior to this, they served in the US Army, where they held the position of Cyber Operations Sergeant from 2018. In this role, they provided guidance to junior analysts, created reports on abnormal executables, developed a Splunk dashboard, and created Standard Operating Procedures for remote operations. Chase also supported wargames as OPFOR to evaluate Courses of Action for forward cyber missions. Before that, they served as a Lead Signal Intelligence Analyst from 2015 to 2017 and as a Signals Intelligence Analyst from 2014 to 2015 in the US Army.

Chase Hulsey is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Networking and Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland Global Campus. The expected completion of this degree is in 2022. Prior to their enrollment at the university, Chase attended the Joint Cyber Analysis Course in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, in 2014, Chase completed the Signals Intelligence Analysis Course.

In terms of certifications, Chase has obtained several valuable credentials. In 2019, they earned the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) certification from GIAC Certifications. Furthermore, they obtained the CompTIA CySA+ ce Certification from CompTIA in August 2019. Lastly, in September 2021, Chase became Sumo Logic Fundamentals Certified through training provided by Sumo Logic.
