Software Architect

Chris Montgomery has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Chris started their career in 1995 as a Computer Programmer/Analyst in the United States Air Force. In 1997, they joined Microsoft Corporation as a Sr Software Design Engineer. Chris worked at Microsoft for over 13 years before transitioning to Novartis in 2010, where they served as an Enterprise Software Architect. At Novartis, they held this position for eight years. In 2018, they joined Plex, by Rockwell Automation as a Software Architect, where they are currently employed.

Chris Montgomery has a diverse education history. Chris attended Glencoe High School from 1990 to 1992, where they studied core academics. Following high school, they attended Chemeketa Community College from 1992 to 1995, focusing on core academics as well. In 1995, they joined the United States Air Force and pursued studies in computer science and military studies until 1997.

In recent years, Chris has pursued further education in the field of cloud computing. Chris is currently enrolled at Western Governors University, working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Cloud Computing, expected to be completed by 2023.

Additionally, Chris has obtained numerous certifications in various areas related to cloud computing and IT. Some of their notable certifications include the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)², the CompTIA Cloud Admin Professional – CCAP Stackable Certification, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), the CompTIA A+ ce Certification, and the Linux Essentials from the Linux Professional Institute (LPI), among others. These certifications highlight their expertise and dedication to staying up-to-date in the field.
