Head Of Content Curation at Plex

Lloyd Scott has extensive experience in content curation, programming, and strategy in the media and entertainment industry. Lloyd is currently the Head Of Content Curation at Plex, Inc. since January 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Programmer of Features, Series, and Documentaries at Infinity Film Festival starting in April 2018.

From 2014 to 2017, Lloyd worked at Verizon as the Head of Content Programming for go90, where they led video programming across various content partners and collaborated with different departments to guide feature requirements and set strategy.

Before Verizon, they were the Head of Programming Operations at Intel Corporation's OnCue from 2012 to 2014. In this role, they oversaw programming efforts across different media content platforms and managed content evaluation and avails management.

From 2010 to 2012, Lloyd co-founded MingleBird Partners, Inc. and served as the Creative Director, leading the product development process and assessing competitive intensity and distribution opportunities for the mobile app.

From 2007 to 2009, they worked at Microsoft as the Director of Video Content Programming Strategy, where they developed engagement strategies for content libraries and spearheaded the creation of a BI analytics tool.

Prior to Microsoft, Lloyd was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Digital Media at MGM in 2006, responsible for conceptualizing and executing digital strategies and securing content distribution deals.

Lloyd also had experience at NBC Universal as the General Manager of iTunes Video Store, Cablevision as the Head of Programming Acquisitions for HD Cinema 10, and Universal Studios as the Senior Vice President of Programming and Acquisitions for Universal Television & Networks Group. In these roles, Lloyd managed revenue targets, promotional release strategies, content licensing, and oversaw programming operations.

Lloyd Scott's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Lloyd also holds a Master of Arts degree in Critical Studies from the School of Cinema-Television at the University of Southern California. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Communication Management degree from the Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. Furthermore, Lloyd attended Yale University's Executive Leadership and Management Program, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General.
