Erick Schulz

Erick Schulz is an accomplished professional in the field of applied mathematics and software development, currently serving as the Head of Scientific Software Development at Plexim since November 2022, where responsibilities include leading research scientists and scientific software development. Prior experience includes roles at ETH Zurich from September 2018 to August 2022, managing a team of student developers while organizing numerical methods courses and working on a diverse range of simulations and optimization algorithms. Additional experience encompasses a research internship at MERL focusing on HVAC systems, research assistance at McGill University in lattice gauge theory and copulas, and an early internship at CHUM reviewing cognitive processes related to surgical teaching strategies. Educational credentials include a PhD from ETH Zurich, an ECCOMAS Advanced Course from the Polish Academy of Sciences, and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from McGill University.
