Jost Allmeling

Jost Allmeling is an accomplished professional in the field of power electronics and simulation software. As the Managing Director of Plexim GmbH since June 2002, Jost has been instrumental in the development of PLECS, a simulation software designed for power electronic systems, as well as the RT Box, an affordable desktop hardware-in-the-loop simulator. Additionally, Jost serves as the President of Plexim, Inc., where responsibilities include establishing Plexim's presence in the U.S. Previously, Jost held positions as a Senior Researcher and Researcher at ETH Zürich's Power Systems Laboratory and Power Electronic Systems Laboratory from December 1996 to December 2003. Jost's academic background includes a PhD from ETH Zürich, focusing on fast control of active filters for medium voltage grids, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University.
