John Tomaro

John Tomaro is a development operations leader with a strong focus on clinical development and a passion for science and innovation. With extensive experience in Phase I-III trials, particularly in rare diseases and oncology, John has worked on immuno-oncology and AAV-based gene therapy studies. John held various leadership roles at companies such as BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc., and Celgene, where they contributed to clinical strategy and operations. Currently, John advises on clinical operations strategy at Tomaro Clinical Consulting, LLC, while also serving as Vice President of Clinical Operations at Plexium. John is pursuing a Master's degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
