Leenus Martin has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and research. They are currently the Director of Biology at Plexium, starting in April 2023. Before joining Plexium, Leenus worked at Erasca, Inc. from 2019 to 2023, where they held positions such as Director of Biology, Associate Director of Biology, and Principal Scientist. Prior to Erasca, Leenus worked at IDEAYA Biosciences as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist from 2016 to 2019. Throughout their career, Leenus has been involved in various research projects focused on topics such as cancer, genetic disorders, translational oncology, and DNA replication. Leenus Martin obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Zoology from St. Xavier's College in Tirunelveli, India in 1999. Leenus then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry at St. Joseph's college in Trichirapalli, India from 1999 to 2001. Continuing their education, Leenus Martin completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Tübingen between 2004 and 2007.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Leenus Martin obtained a certification in the "Business of Science" from SciPhD in February 2014.
