Alan Townsend

Alan Townsend possesses extensive experience in product management and project leadership within the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as a Staff Project Manager at Plexus Corp. since June 2012, Alan leads cross-functional product design teams. Prior roles include Senior Product Manager for the GENiUS platform at Genband, where Alan directed R&D efforts to unlock a $1B+ market opportunity, and Senior Product Manager at Nortel Networks, where contributions included the deployment of over 70 platforms globally and lifecycle management for major product lines. Alan began his career as a Hardware Design Engineer at Bell-Northern Research and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
