John Laird

John Laird currently serves as Customer Director at Plexus Corp. since September 2024. Previously, John held various leadership roles at Jabil from April 2005 to October 2008, including Global Test Operations Manager, where management of the worldwide test engineering group for a mobile phone customer involved overseeing all test personnel, processes, and equipment across eight sites with a significant annual account of $2.5 billion. John also served as Optical Components Product Manager and Workcell Manager, managing operations for a $200 million instrumentation account and a workforce of 60 IL and 350 DL staff. As Business Unit Director, John was responsible for managing accounts for different global customers, achieving $500 million in annual revenue through both new business acquisitions and growth in existing operations across regions such as China, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, and Mexico. John holds an MBA and an MSc in Manufacturing Management and Technology from The Open University.
