Fran L.

Fran L. is the retired Founding Director of Bioinformatics and Research Computing at the Whitehead Institute, where they served from 1994 to 2014. They have been an Editorial Advisory Board member for the Public Library of Science since 2014 and previously held the role of Treasurer for GOBLET from 2013 to 2016. Fran L. was also an advisory board member for the Genetic Counseling Program at Brandeis University from 1994 to 2018. Currently, they are pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Genetics with a focus on Statistical Genetics at the University of Colorado Boulder, while also working towards a B.S. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
