James Shield

James Shield has a diverse work experience in technology and stage production. James started their career in 2004 as an Independent Lighting Controls Programmer, providing system start-up and programming services for commercial building lighting control systems. James also worked as a console programmer and lighting designer for regional theaters and small venue concerts. In 2007, they joined IATSE Local 50 as a Stagehand and Electrician, and in 2008, they started working at PNTA as a Technical Services employee. From 2008 to 2015, they worked intermittently as an Intermittent Stage Employee for the City of Seattle. In 2013, they joined Pacific Lighting Systems as a Controls Specialist and later became the Chief Technology Officer in 2019. Throughout their career, James has gained experience with various lighting control consoles and architectural control systems.

From 2007 to 2010, James Shield attended the Cornish College of the Arts. However, no information is available regarding their degree or field of study during this period.
