Alok Goel

Alok Goel has over 20 years of work experience in various leadership roles. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President & Country Manager at Plug Power, where they focus on commercial opportunities in green hydrogen generation, hydrogen mobility power, stationary power, and material handling applications in the India & South Asia region. Alok is responsible for business strategy, sales, business development, project management, and channel strategy. Prior to this, Alok was the Country Head - India & South Asia Region at Ballard Power Systems from 2011 to 2020.

Earlier in their career, Alok held the position of Vice President of Sales at Plug Power from 2009 to 2011. Alok also worked at Agilent Technologies as the Vice President & Country Manager, leading the sales team for telecommunications and network equipment manufacturers (NEM) in India. Before that, Alok was the National Sales Head - Database Options at Oracle, where they directed the sales strategy and planning for Oracle's database options technology stack in India.

Additionally, Alok gained experience in the biotech industry at Amgen, where they served as a Manager - Sales & Business Analysis. Alok was responsible for global market analysis, marketing, sales, and business development efforts. Alok also served as the Lead System Architect - Global Commercial Operations Information Systems at Amgen.

Furthermore, Alok worked at Verizon as a Senior Data Warehouse Architect and Data Warehouse Architect, where they developed and implemented enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence systems. Alok also worked at SmartOps, an SAP Company, as a Data Warehouse Architect, designing and developing real-time supply chain software solutions leveraging the SAP HANA platform.

Before that, Alok worked as a Senior Information Technology Specialist at AllAdvantage, where they engineered the principal consumer product suite known as Confidens™ Messenger. Alok also worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Marketmax Inc, where they designed data warehouse and reporting systems for retail planning and merchandise intelligence software.

Alok Goel completed their Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, from 1997 to 1998. Alok also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, although the specific years of study for this degree are not provided.
