Systems Engineer at Plug Power

Aman Awais began their work experience in 2017 as a Student Assistant at Mohawk Valley Community College, where they operated a telephone switchboard, performed administrative tasks, and provided support to students. In 2018, they became a Peer Tutor, assisting students with homework and coaching them through challenging material. They also served as the Vice President of the college during this time.

In 2019, Aman Awais worked at Clarkson University as an Admissions Worker and a Lab Assistant. In the admissions role, they assisted with administrative tasks and managed records. As a Lab Assistant, they maintained inventory, updated databases, and provided support to maximize laboratory efficiency.

In 2021, Aman Awais joined Bimbo Bakeries USA as a Production Supervisor/Engineer. In this role, they ensured compliance with safety standards, managed production records, and conducted incident investigations.

Currently, Aman Awais is working at Plug Power as a Systems Engineer. Their responsibilities include developing system requirements, creating specifications, and developing architectures for fuel cell systems.

Aman Awais began their education in 2017 at Mohawk Valley Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Chemical Engineering. They studied at the college until 2019. In 2019, Aman transferred to Clarkson University, where they completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Chemical Engineering between 2019 and 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Aman Awais obtained several certifications. In August 2017, they obtained the CAIE A'Levels certification from Cambridge Assessment International Education. In January 2020, Aman earned a certification in Citi program biomedical research from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY. The latest certification, Special Situation Training, was obtained in August 2022 from Bimbo Bakeries USA.
