Amit Chaugule

Amit Chaugule has extensive work experience in the engineering and energy sector. Amit is currently working at Plug Power as a Senior Engineering Manager, responsible for fuel cell testing and development. Prior to this role, they served as the Manager for fuel cell stack testing and development at the same company.

Before joining Plug Power, Amit worked at Reliance Technology LLC as a Managing Member. During their time there, they provided engineering, product development, and research and development expertise. Amit designed and developed fuel cells for UAVs (drones), focusing on mechanical expertise, system design, and control strategy. Amit also established a test lab for various aspects of energy systems.

Amit has also worked at General Electric Energy Storage as a Senior Manager for new product introduction and at Ioxus, Inc. as an Engineering Manager for energy storage. Amit also worked at BorgWarner as a Senior Engineering Specialist, where they designed and launched Variable Cam Timing technology for automotive engines.

Amit's work experience also includes a role as a Product Engineer at Mahindra Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors, where they designed and developed automotive engines and implemented cost reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Amit Chaugule holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University. Prior to their master's degree, Amit obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering from M H Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. In addition to their degrees, Amit also possesses a certification in Igniting Emotional Engagement, which was obtained from LinkedIn in July 2020.
