R&d Engineer at Plug Power

Dr. Rohit Singla has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Dr. Rohit began their career as a Graduate Engineer at JSW Steels, where they were involved in finance allocation, project monitoring, and the commissioning of a blast furnace. Dr. Rohit then worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where they conducted research on cryogenic air separation units and collaborated with professionals and professors on projects related to LNG and Helium liquefiers. Dr. Singla continued their research at the same institute as a Doctoral Researcher, focusing on process design and cost reduction for oxygen plants. Currently, they are employed at Plug Power as an R&D Engineer, conducting research on green hydrogen gas liquefaction and analyzing equipment malfunctions to suggest remedial operation steps.

Dr. Rohit Singla completed their education in the field of engineering. Dr. Rohit first attended Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology in Jalandhar, Punjab, from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Rohit then pursued a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Cryogenics Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Singla continued their studies at the same institution to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cryogenic Air Separation, which they completed from 2015 to 2020.
