Senior Project Manager at Plug Power

Eugene Suk, P.E., PMP has a diverse work experience in the engineering and project management field. Eugene started their career at Technip as an Associate Structural Engineer, where they prepared and reviewed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for hydrogen and ethylene production facilities. Eugene also performed design and analysis of fired heaters, ductwork, and equipment support structures.

Eugene then joined Jacobs as a Structural Engineer, where they prepared structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for brownfield refining projects. Eugene also led a team of engineers and designers to ensure project activities were completed on schedule and within budget.

At Jacobs, Eugene also served as a Project Engineer and Project Manager, responsible for managing refining processes projects and overseeing the procurement and construction planning and execution.

Following their time at Jacobs, Eugene joined Shell as a Project Delivery Engineer, supporting a portfolio of surface facilities and infrastructure in the Permian Basin. Eugene contributed to the transition from legacy production facilities and delivered single well production facilities to Operations.

After Shell, Eugene joined Equinor as a Portfolio Project Manager, where they managed a portfolio of capital projects and developed project processes and procedures. Eugene also coached and mentored staff on project management techniques and theory.

At Equinor, Eugene also served as the Leader of Large Capital Projects, overseeing a team of Project Managers and Engineers to deliver a portfolio of large capital projects. Eugene managed all aspects of production, infrastructure, and communications projects and led business improvement projects for the organization.

Eugene then joined Air Products as the Manager of Project Engineering for Major Projects Americas, where they were responsible for leading the project engineering for a world-class ammonia synthesis and storage complex. Eugene championed the development and implementation of key project execution processes and served as the single point of contact for engineering resources supporting commissioning and startup.

Currently, Eugene is a Senior Project Manager at Plug Power.

Eugene Suk, P.E., PMP has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego. Eugene also attended the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering, although the specific degree or field of study is not provided. In terms of certifications, they hold a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, which was obtained in August 2018. Additionally, they have an APMP certification from the Association for Project Management, earned in July 2013. Eugene Suk is also a licensed Professional Engineer, having obtained that certification from the California Department of Consumer Affairs in May 2005.
