Gerard Kluivers

Project Engineer at Plug Power

Gerard Kluivers has a diverse range of work experience. Gerard started their career as a Student Ambassador at Leiden University, where they served from September 2015 to July 2018. Following this, Gerard worked as an Intern at CSIRO from January 2020 to August 2020. Gerard then joined TU Delft Valorisation Centre as a Junior Chemical Engineer from April 2021 to August 2021. Gerard further expanded their skill set by working as a CWO Zeiljacht instructeur at Amorgos Zeilvakanties from April 2022 to February 2023. Currently, Gerard is employed as a Project Engineer at Plug Power, starting in November 2022.

Gerard Kluivers pursued their education starting from 2009 with their Bilingual VWO, N&T-N&G degree at Rijnlands Lyceum Sassenheim, which they completed in 2015.

Gerard then went on to Delft University of Technology, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Molecular Science & Technology from 2015 to 2018. Following this, Gerard attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark in 2017-2018 as part of a minor program, focusing on courses related to Health and Environment.

In 2018, Gerard simultaneously pursued two degrees. Gerard started their Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, which is expected to be completed in 2022. Additionally, during the same year, they enrolled in Leiden University for a Master Honours Education degree, specifically the Leiden Leadership Programme, which they completed in 2019.
