Jacob Sabata has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and positions. Jacob began their career in 2015 as an Autocad Drafter at Work Tools & Services Inc. In 2017, they worked as an Athletic Program Assistant at the City of Spokane Park & Rec. From 2014 to 2017, Jacob served as a Maintenance and Safety Administrative Assistant at Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church. In 2018, they worked as a SolidWorks Drafter at Flexhibit. Jacob then transitioned to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 2019, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineer until 2021. Currently, they are employed at Plug Power as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Jacob Sabata attended the University of Idaho from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In February 2014, they obtained the certification of Engineer in Training from the Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors. In December 2013, Jacob also obtained the Certified SolidWorks Professional - Mechanical Design certification from Dassault Systèmes, and in October 2013, they obtained the Certified SolidWorks Associate - Mechanical Design certification from the same institution.
