Joe Blanchard has extensive work experience in the fuel cell industry. Joe started their career at GTE Automatic Electric as a Product Engineer in 1984 before moving to Rockwell - Wescom Division as a Design Engineer in 1985. In 1987, they joined Fujitsu Network Communications as the Sr. Director of Product Support & Services.

In 2005, Joe joined ReliOn as the VP of Product Management, where they oversaw Product Management, Customer Support & Services, Inside Sales, and Order Administration for the company's Hydrogen Fuel Cells for critical backup power. Joe later became the COO of ReliOn, responsible for the company's overall operations, until 2014.

Since 2014, Joe has been with Plug Power, initially serving as the GM of Stationary Power/GM West Coast, where they led the post-acquisition transition and integration of ReliOn into Plug Power. Joe then took on the role of Vice President of Services, overseeing the service organization and providing support to fuel cell customers worldwide. Joe also played a key role in business/market development activities for hydrogen-based mobility power and stationary power solutions.
