John D. is an experienced professional in chemical engineering with a strong background in research and development (R&D) related to fuel cells, electrolyzers, and plating technologies. Currently serving as Associate Manager at Plug Power since January 2022, John D. leads and mentors a team of technicians, managing projects and operations in the MEA development lab and the 1kW Test Stand Lab. Prior experience includes a Lab Lead position at Bausch + Lomb, overseeing nickel plating for optical tooling, and a Lab Lead role at Trison Business Solutions, where John D. led pilot-scale MEA production and co-authored four patents. Additional experience at Zecal Technology involved optimizing electroless copper plating processes, while earlier work as a Screen Printing Technician provided hands-on experience in ink formulation and equipment operation.
