Project Manager And Commissioning Process Improver at Plug Power

Marcel Nagel has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. In 2002, they worked as a Project Engineer at PEB Group of Companies until 2005. Marcel then joined AJS V.o.F. as a Pre-Commissioning Engineer, responsible for offshore pre-commissioning scope of work. In 2006, Nagel started working at Bluewater Energy Services, first as a Commissioning Engineer, where they revamped and implemented new work processes, as well as led the selection and implementation of a progress management tool. Marcel also served as the Chairman of the Works Council and the Team Leader of Rescue Workers. In 2013, Nagel briefly worked as an Assistant Project Manager before becoming a Site Manager in 2015. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Project Manager, leading a team of 70 commissioning technicians during an upgrade and lifetime extension campaign in Dubai. Nagel then worked at In Between Jobs as a Project Manager from 2021 to 2022, where they gained experience in project management, site management, work process implementation, and optimization. Currently, they are a Project Manager and Commissioning Process Improver at Plug Power, starting in 2022.

From 1996 to 2001, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology.

From 1983 to 1992, they attended Sint Maartenscollege Voorburg, where they acquired the VWO, HAVO & MAVO degrees.
