Maureen Helmer

Maureen Helmer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate governance and legal affairs. Currently serving as Chair of the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit Committee at Plug Power, Helmer has been integral to the company's leadership since January 2004. Previously, Helmer was a Partner at Barclay Damon, LLP from 2008 to December 2021 and held board positions at various organizations, including the Center for Internet Security and the Center for Economic Growth. Helmer's legal expertise was further honed through roles such as Chair and General Counsel at the New York Public Service Commission and Counsel for the Senate Energy Committee in the New York State Senate. Helmer holds a JD from the University at Buffalo School of Law and a BS in Economics from the University at Albany.
