Manager, Energy Sourcing Strategy Europe at Plug Power

Maxime Dournet has a diverse work experience in various energy-related roles.

Starting in 2014, Dournet worked as an intern in construction at Engie Ineo.

In 2015, Dournet had an engineer internship at Galaxie Green, where they focused on electrical needs sizing and renewable energy management.

During the same year, Dournet also completed a university project at Revol Porcelaine SA, where they led a team in studying the healthiness of ceramic products.

In 2016, Dournet joined ExxonMobil as a JV Business Analyst, participating in financial analysis and budgeting activities.

In 2018, Dournet moved to ArcelorMittal, initially working as an Energy Economics Analyst, involved in contract negotiation and energy production analysis. Later, Dournet became a Senior Energy Buyer.

Currently, Dournet is employed at Plug Power as a Manager of Energy Sourcing Strategy for Europe, focusing on energy sourcing and strategy.

Maxime Dournet began their education in 2013 at the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, where they pursued a degree in Corporate Finance and Energy Technics. Maxime completed their studies in 2016, obtaining a degree in Ingénieur Civil des Mines. In 2014, Maxime also received a Participation and Achievement Certificate from IFP School for their studies in Sustainable Mobility, focusing on the technical and environmental challenges in the automotive sector.

In 2016, Maxime continued their education at IFP School, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Market and Energy. Additionally, during the same year, they participated in a one-semester exchange program at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, specializing in Energy Policy and Sustainable Energy.
