Melissa Bauer

Melissa Bauer has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Coating Engineer at Plug Power since June 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Chemical Engineering Intern at Plug Power from January 2021 to April 2021. Before joining Plug Power, Melissa had various engineering roles, including a Process Engineering Co-op at Bausch + Lomb from January 2020 to August 2020, where they focused on evaluating dispersion stability of a polymer-based ink and developing a method to measure particle size distribution. Melissa also worked as a Chemical Engineering Intern at Eastman Kodak Company from May 2019 to August 2019, where they coordinated a project to update piping and instrumentation drawings for polymer chemical processing. Additionally, Melissa worked as a Process Engineering Co-op at Bausch + Lomb from May 2018 to March 2019, where they performed process control analysis on a multidisciplinary team to develop and validate lens products.

Melissa's earlier experiences include working as a Tutor and Teaching Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology from August 2017 to December 2018. In these roles, they provided academic support to students in math and science subjects. Melissa'searly work experience also includes being a Crew Trainer at McDonald's from March 2015 to August 2017.

Melissa Bauer completed their high school education at Paul V. Moore HS from 2012 to 2016. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2021. In May 2023, they obtained a certification in Coating Process Fundamentals from the University of Minnesota.
