Mike Baron

Mike Baron is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Principal Civil Engineer for North American Infrastructure at Plug Power since September 2023, focusing on green energy transition. As President and Co-Founder of Expertise Project, Baron champions initiatives to enhance New York's technical workforce through innovative video tours and virtual reality experiences. Previously, Baron was a full-time Instructor in the Civil Engineering Technology department at Hudson Valley Community College, where responsibilities included mentoring students and enhancing their practical skills. Baron's project management and engineering roles span a diverse range of companies, including LaBella Associates, RRC Engineering, Tripi Engineering Services, and LeMessurier, contributing to numerous structural projects throughout the Northeastern United States. Baron holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Tufts University.
